Learning new languages to increase social inclusion, broaden opportunities and grow cultural awareness in the local community

Language classes for the Moroccan minority

There is a significant minority of Moroccan people in Illescas. Most of them are well integrated, speak fluently Spanish and have fully active in the Spanish society, however, there are also people who need help in improving their language skills. To increase integration and create equal possibilities we host grammar classes to fight illiteracy and conversation classes in English and Spanish to improve the conversation skills of the participants.

Aside from the language skills, our goals is also to expand the social network of the Moroccan women who live in Illescas by meeting new people in the language classes and increase their independence managing with everyday life, such as making a doctor's appointment, communicating with public services or finding a job.
